Udaipur, the ‘City of Lakes’ known for its picturesque surroundings, lakes, forts, palaces and historical significance, is in the race to achieve the coveted title of India’s first wetland city.
The city is known for its many picturesque lakes, including Pichola Lake, Fateh Sagar Lake, Doodh Talai Lake, Rang Sagar Lake and Swaroop Sagar Lake, which serves as a major tourist attraction.

In October, Indian player and World Javelin Champion Neeraj Chopra has been appointed as the ambassador of ‘Laureus’.
Neeraj Chopra is the second Indian player after former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh, who has been made the ambassador of ‘Laureus’.
Laureus is a global sports charity organization that works to improve the lives of youth.
The organization is famous for its ‘Sport for Good’ initiative, academy and ambassador programs and world sports awards.
Women’s Asian Hockey Championship 2023 will be organized in Ranchi.
Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren has unveiled the Women’s Asian Champions Trophy and event mascot ‘Juhi’.
This time the name of the tournament will be ‘Jharkhand Asian Champions Trophy 2023’.
These games will be held in Ranchi between 27 October and 14 November.
The country’s first Women’s Asian Hockey Championship will be played at the ‘International Strawturf Hockey Stadium’ located in Morabadi.
Nagaland Hornbill Festival celebrated

Indian team withdrew from the World Cadet Chess Championship
The Indian team has withdrawn its name from the World Cadet Chess Championship to be held in Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt from 14 to 23 October in
view of the situation in Gaza and keeping in mind the safety of the participants.
39 players from the country were to participate in the tournament, which included events in Under-12, 10 and 8 categories.
The All India Chess Federation (AICF) said, “After due deliberations, keeping in mind the ongoing situation in the Gaza Strip between Israel and Hamas and the age of the participants, the Indian team in the World Cadet Chess Championship-2023 It was decided to withdraw the participation.”
ECI changes Rajasthan state assembly election dates
