4. Country’s first nano liquid DAP fertilizer plant started
Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated India’s first Nano Liquid DAP (Di Ammonium Phosphate) Fertilizer Plant at Kalol, Gandhinagar on October 24.
During this, Union Chemicals and Fertilizer Minister Mansukh Mandaviya was also present on the spot.
IFFCO’s Nano Liquid DAP fertilizer contains 8% nitrogen and 16% phosphorus. One 500 mL bottle of this fertilizer is equivalent to 45 kg urea.
Nano liquid DAP can replace about 50 kg of phosphorus fertilizer.
5. First woman Air Marshal to become DG of Hospital Service: Indian Air Force officer Air
Marshal Sadhna Saxena Nair was made the Director General (DG) of Military Hospital Service on 23 October. Sadhna has become the first woman officer to hold this post.
Sadhna is the second woman medical officer of the Air Force, who has reached the rank of Air Marshal.
Her husband KP Nair retired from the post of DG of Inspection and Flight Safety in 2015.

8. Odisha will promote maize cultivation
The Odisha government has decided to launch a program to increase the area under maize cultivation by including improved varieties of the grain.
