1. Mahendra Singh Dhoni becomes brand ambassador of SBI
The country’s largest lender State Bank of India (SBI) has made former Indian cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni (MSD) its official brand ambassador.
The bank said that as the brand ambassador of SBI, Dhoni will play an important role in many marketing and promotional campaigns.

2. World Stroke Day: 29 October
World Stroke Day is observed every year on 29 October to emphasize the serious nature and high rates of stroke. This day is also celebrated to raise awareness about stroke prevention and treatment.
Worldwide, brain stroke is the second leading cause of death and the third leading cause of disability and the second leading cause of death.
Every year approximately 18 lakh people suffer from stroke.
World Stroke Day was established on 29 October 2004 at the World Stroke Congress in Vancouver, Canada.
3. NASA – ISRO’s NISAR mission to launch in 2024
ISRO and NASA will together launch an Earth observation radar mission.
It has been named NISAR. This radar mission can prove to be very important for climate change.
This will enable monitoring of forests and wetlands.
ISRO says that NISAR satellite can be launched as early as 2024.
It will be launched into Earth orbit, which will analyze the entire Earth and glaciers every 12 days.
From the data obtained from this, it will be found out how important forests and wetlands are in the regulation of carbon.
What kind of satellite is Nisar?
This satellite is the size of a modern SUV, which has been developed at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in Southern California.
ISRO has said that this is an example of our vast possibilities.
This 2,800 kg satellite has a 39-foot fixed antenna reflector made of gold-plated wire mesh. This is the ability to detect even the smallest changes in the antenna.
4. Mumbai’s signature black-yellow taxi will stop from today
Service lasted for six decades, demand to preserve it in museum
‘Premier Padmini’ taxi, which has been the identity of Mumbai for the last six decades, will be closed from Monday.
This taxi service was popularly known as ‘Kali-Peeli’, which refers to its colour.

7. Asian Para Games: India finished 5th with 29 gold, total 111 medals
Indian para-athletes continued to shine in the 4th Asian Para Games.
India crossed the coveted 100 medal mark with Dilip Gavit winning his 26th gold medal in the men’s T-47 400m event.
Earlier, India achieved its best-ever gold medal haul at the Asian Para Games, surpassing the one from 2018.
India finished the campaign with 29 gold, 31 silver and 51 bronze, taking a total of 111 medals.

Among these, IIM Bangalore is ranked 48th at the global level.
