  • The statue was created by Pramod Kamble, a painter-sculptor from Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra.
  • This statue vividly captures Sachin Tendulkar delivering his cricket strokes. The great cricketer used this shot consistently to score over 34,000 runs in both Test and One Day International (ODI) matches.
  • Sachin Tendulkar is the only batsman in the history of cricket to score 100 centuries. Wankhede Stadium is the home ground of Sachin Tendulkar where he played his last match in November 2013.
